Thanksgiving Food Donation Bike Ride, Sat Nov 18th

Register online to join our Thanksgiving 6-mile Food Donation Bike Ride on Saturday Nov 18th, co-sponsored by BiCiCo, Hartford Bike Party, and Bike West Hartford! Our group bike ride is designed to be fun and open to all skill levels, rolling at a friendly pace of 10-12 mph, with no one left behind. Bring any bicycle in good condition, a bike helmet, water bottle, and money if you wish to buy a drink or snack at the end.

Bring non-perishable foods and funds (cash or check) to donate to The Place of Grace Food Pantry, 55 New Park Avenue, Hartford. If you write a check, make it payable to: Grace Episcopal Church, and in the memo line add: A Place of Grace.

Requested items from The Place of Grace Food Pantry:

  • canned veggies and fruit
  • canned pinto, kidney, garbanzo or black beans
  • dried beans or peas
  • any kind of pasta and sauce
  • peanut butter
  • soup
  • coffee or tea
  • cranberry sauce and stuffing
  • canned tuna or chicken
  • cake or muffin mix
  • or items of your choice

Carry donations on your bike or backpack! Contact Jacob at BiCiCo if you would like to borrow bike bags.

12 noon meetup at BiCiCo West, 616 New Park Avenue, West Hartford (across from south end of Trout Brook bike trail)

12:30pm roll out — check out our 6 mile route, which takes several roads less traveled

1pm visit The Place of Grace Food Pantry, 55 New Park Avenue, Hartford

2pm return and optional gathering at GastroPark, 637 New Park Avenue (across from BiCiCo West)
