We thank the Town of West Hartford Engineering Department for adding buffered bike lanes to a 0.4-mile portion of South Quaker Lane (between Flatbush and Talcott), as part of its regular milling and repaving scheduling, in compliance with the Town’s Complete Streets policy. We also thank the West Hartford Pedestrian-Bicycle Commission (PBC) for recommending improvements to the original plan, based on input from resident Trish Hare, who attended its public meeting and shared her good ideas! Come share your good ideas at the next monthly PBC meeting on Monday December 11th at 7pm in Town Hall Room 400. We have more work to do to create a safe and interconnected bicycle network.
