Tuesday, March 3, 2026 | 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM Noah Webster Library Meeting Room
FREE event, registration required, space limited, opens February 3rd at 7pm here
Bike West Hartford is proud to partner with the wonderful staff of our West Hartford Library to host journalist and author Henry Grabar for a discussion on his acclaimed book, Paved Paradise: How Parking Explains the World. (Pick up a copy at River Bend or at the Library!)
We’re really excited about this one!
Grabar explores how our obsession with car storage has shaped our cities, impacted housing affordability, and hindered our climate goals. This conversation is incredibly timely as we re-think our ordinances and look to the new Connecticut Housing Bill HB 8002 and its landmark decision to overhaul statewide parking mandates. Come learn how freeing our town from “parking’s cruel yoke” can lead to more vibrant, livable, and affordable neighborhoods.
Note: Registration is required (seating limited) and opens on February 3rd at 7:00 PM. Click here to register!
