Thank you to everyone who already wrote the Town in support of our Slow Down for Kids campaign. They have heard you and the subject will be discussed with Town leaders at the next Pedestrian and Bicycle Commission (PBC) meeting.
Please join us at the next PBC meeting on Monday, November 10th at 7:00 pm in room 400 at the Town Hall to support our initiative. There will be opportunity for public comment, and we look forward to a respectful discussion. We’d like to replace the current burdensome neighborhood traffic calming process with a systematic, engineering-driven one designed to rapidly and effectively reduce neighborhood traffic speeds to a target of 20 mph.
We’d love to have as many people as possible at this meeting to show support for this initiative. Seeing is believing! There is no better way to show town leaders that our residents are excited about changing the process and implementing traffic calming measures in our neighborhoods now like a crowded room of people.
