Fun at our first Trout Brook Trail Day, Sat May 17th

Thank you all everyone who joined us at our first Trout Brook Trail Day on Saturday May 17th 2025! We had great fun, met dozens of new friends, and distributed lots free bike helmets! Check out our pics below and also see this short YouTube video created by Robert Gursky. Look for Bike West Hartford at upcoming events at Celebrate West Hartford (Saturday-Sunday June 7-8th) and Center Streets (Sunday August 24th).

Join us for Trout Brook Trail Day, a new family-friendly outdoor event hosted by Bike West Hartford on Saturday May 17th 2025. Ride a bike, or a scooter, or take a walk along West Hartford’s 4-mile separated multi-use path. The Trout Brook Trail is a wonderful north-south connector for outdoor recreation areas (such as Miracle League and Norfeldt Little League ball fields and Beachland Park) and small businesses (in West Hartford Center, as well as The GastroPark and the BiCiCo West Bike Shop on New Britain Ave).

Meet us between 9am-12 noon on the Trout Brook Trail behind the Elmwood Community Center. We’re giving away FREE bike helmets for children and adults (one per person), and also coffee and healthy snacks, while supplies last! Thank you to the CT Department of Transportation and the Capitol Region Council of Governments, which awarded a $5,000 Active Transportation Microgrant to support the Bike West Hartford bike safety program in 2025.
